EVO RFID Desktop Reader HF 2.0 from iDTRONIC is the successor of the proven EVO Desktop Reader HF.
The new RFID USB Reader is a reliable RFID Reader for various applications within Industry 4.0 and IoT environments.
The integrated Dual USB 2.0 Interface creates the symbiosis to modern devices and systems. This communication option is equipped with an adjustable data output. The Reader RFID can be operated and used both in HID (Human Interface Device) Mode and in VCP (Virtual ComPort) Mode. Thus we provide a unique all-round solution in one device. In order to be able to meet your individual customer needs, we supply a user-friendly Software Development Kit (SDK) and configuration tool for Windows, Linux, MAC and Android operating systems. Our Quick Start Guide and Demo Video makes it easy for you to configure and set up your systems using your software.
HID Mode = Keyboard Emulation (Read Access)
In HID mode user data can be retrieved from the supported transponders as keyboard emulation. The computer acts as an input device and outputs read-in data in the desired output format. The configuration can be done using the Windows configuration tool supplied . The tool has a user-friendly interface and is easy to use. The reader is therefore particularly suitable for use in web-based cloud environments within information technology.
VCP Mode = Virtual COM Interface (Full Read and Write Access)
VCP mode provides full read and write access for all supported transponders. The device can be operated on different Windows operating systems via the demo software, sample source codes and a USB driver. Operating systems such as Linux, MAC or Android are supported via a serial command protocol and a virtual COM interface based on a Silicon Labs chipset. It is designed for Industry 4.0 applications and can be easily integrated into any operating system.
13.56 MHz HF version supports ISO 14443A, ISO 15693 and ISO 18000-3 tags including NXP MIFARE Ultralight® and MIFARE® Classic Mini, 1K and 4K.
The signal controlled LED illuminated frame distinguishes this compact reader from other RFID readers.
The blue LED light frame and an acoustic signal tone indicate successful tag communication.
